He was tearing it up a year or two ago. Thought he was prime for a big move. No idea why he's dropped off so much this season, but I'm far, far more onside with this one than the proposed Nuamah deal.

For a change this is a player I've watched a fair few times and for that sort of price, I'd be delighted tbqh

Yep thought i posted that as well...couple of years back was in the media rated at £40mil.

Bit of a dribble machine if i remember correctly.

But seems to have fallen off a cliff which is why im sceptical.

Very very good right back, young obviously all potential at the moment, Brentford have an option to buy for 16m Euros which is c13m and just 20 years old...

No lose for them, this is the type of deals we need to be looking at, improves us at RB instantly.
We have 3 right backs, 4 if you include O'Brien

5 if you include Dixon

Sceptical and hoping the club is doing its homework on any 'bargains'.

If true it's mean Forrest would have to sell before the June cutoff for this PSR year.

Smart move as what they are doing is paying now for the increased chance they can qualify for the CL next season which basically covers the cost of Cunha.
Prob look sell sangare awoniyi and a few more,

Looking at players who's contract is finishing in 2026:

Cherki - Lyon - CM
Hartman - Feyenoord - LB
Bakayoko - Feyenoord - RW
Edwards - Sporting - RW
Nevas - Al Hilal - CM
Emboli - Monaco - CF
Mateta - Palace - CF

Some good options who would be interesting and not alarming huge fees
Bakayoko would be great if we could but sure has turned a few teams down

Agreed. A Walker-Peters/Edwards right-hand side suddenly makes the team look very different. For not a huge outlay as well.

I know the policy of TFG is usually 23 and under, but I don’t think there’s any harm in a couple of 26/27 year olds on low fees and moderate wages for right now, if they can provide immediate impact

Sounds good on paper but there must be a reason why neither are playing for better sides than us.

Yeah I’d agree with that. Atletico Madrid, Porto and to a lesser extent Pochettino Southampton had joy with option 1. The problem always comes there when you stop striking gold on the replacements for the outgoing players. Forest have had a very recent history of scattergun transfers and I think they could easily slip back into that and torpedo the whole operation if they aren’t careful. I defo can’t see them playing it safe in any case, which will make for a fun watch either way.

Yup especially so since they see ed to get helped out massively by Lyon ridiculously overpaying on several players from them over the past two years - absolutely no doubt in my mind that Textor and their owner were doing something dodgy there.

32m for a 28yo CB in Niakhate.
10m loan fee for a 26yo Mangala followed by a 22m transfer.

Over 60m paid by Lyon a club with massive financial problems, to a Forest owner whose dodgy as they come.

They overpaid by 30m easily on those two deals.

I'll be honest, I thought we'd have 9 players in by now and my initial optimism after Sunday where I thought we'd win the lot, has now regressed to just winning the FA Cup and finishing 7th.

Don’t worry mate. Moyes has it in hand. He’s after an attacking wide player with an eye for goal. Prem experience, someone he’s worked with before and knows he can make an immediate impact in a January window.

Step forward Jessie Linz.
