So, if you looked at the bottom sides in the premier league who would most likely be relegated you'd probably pick out Dibling as a standout young English player.

Perhaps if you take a look in the championship you see Rigg and think he's going to be a superstar.

Likely neither comes in to start under Moyes but both come into the squad to develop and force themselves into the team.

If we could sign them, or players like them, we should.

Why wouldnt we want 2 potential superstars to come into the squad that make the other players think "wow" ?
Love the mentality Zat. Alas we're not in a position (I'm pretty sure) to be shelling out £60m+ on two players for the future, when we need players for the now.

Albeit Dibling walks into our starting XI and improves it immediately.

Could argue we almost met spurs grab a point due to having zero depth there though, as last twenty we were goosed. Asking a 35yo to play a full 90 every game and Mangala whose having to do more work than he's used to doing tells badly on us later in games
We almost let Spurs grab a point as Moyes elected to bring on three more defenders and invite them on to us for 15 minutes. Not because we didn't have depth in central midfield.

I've seen this so play out many times over the years.

beto and keane?
£1m - £2m max. IF someone wants to pay it now because they're desperate for him.

Leaves us short on numbers unless his long term replacement is lined up and ready to come in now. Just keep him until the end of the season; much simpler.

Sunderland have a real chance of going up, be shocked if they sold a player for 30m which would mean they lose out on a 300m PL windfall for promotion, but then they might need the money.

Saints might think they should cash in on the Dib cos they down anyway.

Maybe in the summer, but I imagine Moyes would be looking for people who could come in and hit the ground running and a 17 year old and 18 year old doesnt do that.

Both these boys are very highly rated and I dont see either finding their way to Everton sadly, but the Football League and Europe is rammed full of players like these boys, you just need to find them.

Not the time. We need players who can walk straight in.

Are you saying the strength of our centre mid "group" is the same as our full-back or wing or striker group?
I'm saying we lack quality almost everywhere on the pitch. But specifically, we clearly nearly crumbled against Spurs because we couldn't retain the ball, we have squandered leads this year because we can't kill a game because our midfield has been incapable of keeping possession. We've looked absolutely knackered at around 70-75 minutes in the centre of the pitch.
We barely have any possession and when we do we are bereft of ideas. In the main, that ability to control the game stems from CM.
Relying on Doucoure, an aged Gana, a loan player. Unless we expect Garner and Iroegbunam to fill that hole then we should absolutely look to sign a CM this window if one became available.

Meh, it was a strange game, at 3-0 everybody was going through the motions, then Spurs grabbed a goal and it was game on.

I dont think the subs were a factor personally, both their goals were due to sloppy mistakes made by tired players and in 1 case Pickford being bored.

If you ask me, which you didnt, what we need, its harder after yesterday, put it that way.

I think our fullbacks are still pretty poor, sorry
I think our midfield although functional, is a bit plodding, theres no ball player
Our attacking options are Beto and Jack Harrison
Doucs still plays

Its still pretty bad, so what do we need?

Signing them as they future proof the existing pool of first team players is a position I think we'd all aspire for Everton to be in.

Having a squad strong enough to bring in highly rated youth players like this without a huge financial impact or the pressure of them having to immediately perform. Heavenly dreams. Any £30 signing historically for us has been put immediately on a massive pedestal and inevitably failed to deliver.

Let's hope we can move on from this....
