Signing Beto is a significant negative.
We needed a player. Beto cost nothing upfront and we'll probably end up recouping 75% of any outlay if we sell him.
He's not had the opportunity to play regularly which hasn't helped him, but when the limitations of who we can sign are so tight it's not bad compared to some players who the club have actually played significant transfer fees for.

Yes tricky isn’t it. No really room in PSR but also no money in Cash Flow. Beto was a poor, poor purchase but I am not sure what the alternative was other than don’t buy anyone. Given how thin our squad is that could easily relegate us too

And what about your original statement saying we should get Ward Prowse who is on loan to Forest from West Ham?
All it needs is Forest (who aren't playing him) and West Ham to agree to terminate the loan so he can go elsewhere. Obviously players terms as well but it's happened before if it's the possibility that's baffling you.

….watched Leeds (again) to see if I’m missing something about Gnonto (again). Not surprised to see him amongst the substitutes, just come on in 88th minute, just to think we wanted to pay £25m for him
I’d happily pay 25 mill for him tomorrow - he’s miles better than anyone else we have for the right wing.
