I guess it's impossible to know exactly what was changed, but it seems notable that two players who have barely kicked a ball under Dyche go into the starting 11 as soon as Dyche leaves. Also the formation is not one I can remember us playing much under Dyche either
We'll never know what the changes were no, but I'm just commenting on what you're talking about. If Baines said Dyche picked the team then I'd assume Dyche picked the team. Changing 3 players isn't Dyche picking the team is it, realistically? A formation change I can totally imagine being Baines's idea and that would count as a tweak, but I don't see how you can say someone else picked the team if you swapped half of them, it's like triggers broom.

O'Brien had started both our previous cup ties and Patterson had come on as a sub in the last 3 games. The idea that we might choose to use them in a home cup game against league one opposition hardly seems outlandish to me to be honest. The whole Patterson thing is a weird one anyway, Dyche played him loads last season up until about this time and then dropped him for about half a dozen games. He got injured and only came back in about November but (I assume because of the slap) the story took on a life of it's own and became that Dyche had never given him a single minute since he took over and kept trying to run over him in the car park.

So i'm confused. Baines himself said dyche picked the team? And you mr forum typer are telling me dyche didnt pick the team. Who to believeeeeee?!

Well all type on a forum, not sure how you're doing it.

Baines said he made adjustments. I don't expect him to come out and say "I've been here 2 hours and I changed the team because the lineup was wank".

No baines said the team was already picked.
Yeah, the players were picked, not the positions, not who starts, not how they try to play, just who's in the team.

Then Baines used the same team, Coleman removed.

We were going to 100% play the same wank 4-4-1-1 we had all year, with Coleman/Young at RB and Harrison would've gotten 3 min at the end.

Ok thanks considering all i was saying was the team was picked by dyche.

Yes, and the starters and formation were 100% changed from what he picked.
and around we go. Listen our caretaker manager said one thing and people keep going round in circles on here. Baines said the team was picked he made some adjustments so dont say to me baines changed the players and formation
