Hopefully not Ings himself but reckon Moyes might want a veteran striker in that sort of mould, if we get offers for Beto and Broja is out as long as expected. Can’t really think of who is out there but a Chris Wood type of signing.

Agree. Ornstein is arguably the most reliable out there. He says one for the future and one for the here and now. Definitely sounds like a “seasoned pro”

Yeah I’m struggling to come up with a seasoned pro striker / attacker, reckon he’d have wanted Antonio but for the crash. Like Jimenez when he went to Fulham for a few million, that type of deal.

…I always think of him as a ‘clever’ striker who makes space behind CB but is reliant on quality to put him in. I don’t think we have that quality here.

Come back closer to deadline day...this club will continue to operate in the same way they have been under thelwell...no rush, we have time, it's a difficult market, to then sign whoever is available on deadline day. In the meantime, and despite the urgency require to add to the squad, we will throw away another couple of home games against villa and spurs.
