Going to keep a close eye on the dynamic between Moyes and Thelwell, this window,

Have a feeling the whole window has been rebooted by Moyes and he will hold the ultimate influence, seems all has gone quiet since he has come in.

If that comes to pass think it’s the last we will see of Thelwell.

Be interesting.
I agree I just hope it's not the Dithering Dave version. We need players in and fast

One of the reasons I’d be against Weir is precisely because he’s friendly with Moyes. I don’t want the DOF and manager to be cosy, the DOF should be constantly demanding the manager does better, and vice versa. The manager gets to appoint his staff but he shouldn’t be appointing his DOF.

Weirdly Weir has a degree in Advertising and PR.

He studied in the U.S.

Ermm. Okay? We played our best football when Yakubu had his best season and Piennar and Arteta were both in the team around 2008. When Moyes actually had a squad of players to chose from including Andy Johnson who was notably rapid. You’re talking like it's a Moyes tactic not to have pace but it comes down to player availability and finances. There is a premium to pay for attacking players, particularly fast ones and they don't grow on trees. Some seasons Moyes had literally no budget at all which was very frustrating. I always felt the squad was 2 starters and 2 squad players short of being a genuine champions league squad but Moyes was never backed in the transfer market.
Thanks Bill

The HUGELY frustrating thing is that Moyes teams almost ALWAYS dominated the second half of the season. We were generally tosh the first 1/3 or so but about this time they usually were top 4 contenders. And, every January, us supporters were screaming for just ONE class player to get us over that hump.

"I had my mum call the banks and PLEAD with them to not have to sell Mikel, he's FAMILY!"
