Whose that mate?
Looks like he's carrying a bit of timber but could still be deceptively quick over short periods.
Shrinkflation in action.
Basic math im afraid.
You can sign 2 players 1st Jan, but if you wait, you can sign 4 players 31st Jan.
The game stay the game.
I'd argue the opposite, they hoard them, send the mout for a few loans then sell them on at a big profit.People often cite clubs having to sell homegrown products as a negative aspect of PSR, but it looks like that could be a positive with clubs less likely to hoard young players. Prior to that you'd have the bigger clubs sitting on young talent, not playing them, but also tying them down to long contracts so they can't play anywhere else. That seems to be happening less now
Seems to go missing every Xmas time too.Whose that mate?

I honestly used 31st Jan as a standard date, but I see the window is open till 3rd Feb this year. What about Feb 2nd ?
Its not out of the realm for the DOF to not decide who the manager signs, there are plenty of other responsibilities for a DOF to crack on with.Did Moyes have a DOF in his time in charge of us? He seemed to like being in control of whatever players came in and he might prefer to look after that side himself.
Imagine how insane that sounds to say if you’re finishing bottom end of the table you should be getting no more than 30-40k a week! £2m a year. That’s how far removed football has become from the average fan.100% mate. Been saying it for years. If you sign players and are finishing 16th/17th every season, then the wages better bloody reflect that and they should be on 30-40k a week max.
If players want the big wages and we can't afford to pay it, then I'd happily wave them goodbye and wouldn't begrudge them going to get a big payday somewhere else.
We've got for too many players on contracts that get dished out to sides in the top 6-7 and challenging for Europe, not looking to avoid relegation.
It’ll be good to have the Saudi clubs needing to get their deals done a bit earlier this time around. I think they’re usually closing up after the others. It might but a bit more liquidity in the market.I honestly used 31st Jan as a standard date, but I see the window is open till 3rd Feb this year.
