Will cause much more long term damage though
I'm not so sure. With Moyes track record of spotting a player Everton would be stupid not to tap into that

Let Moyes identify the talent and Thelwell does the deal.

He can then have a few months off before his contract comes to an end and Moyes then gets who he wants in ( or preferably does the role himself with a younger manager brought in - probably an unlikely dream)

I just don't see the point in him. If Moyes is identifying the player he can also do the deal. Its not like he's never done it before and as you said it'd be ideal if he moves upstairs.

A liverpool fan with 6 months left on his deal should not be doing our negotiations. Especially one that's drove such hard bargains as Beto and Maupay.

Its human nature that he will have one eye on himself and its likely his next job is at our competitors. Either get the new man in or hand all responsibilities over to moyes because after the Dyche giving up debacle we can't continue assuming everyone is going to act in good faith.

Looks like this guy is still very much pulling the strings...first moyes, then nuamah...wouldn't be surprised he gets a new contract which would be a very costly mistake. He needs to go now before we sign any new players. We can't afford to get the wrong signings in January with the relegation fight being a close one.

He won't be here next season I suspect and if Moyes smells a rat Thelwell will be out the door PDQ.

TFG are all in on Moyes for now
