I just don't understand this mentality. We are a historic great club going into a great stadium with new billionaire owners. We weren't paying Dyche peanuts. There's no big pay off. And we turn to the bottom of the barrel for someone with zero hope and optimism. And what 2/3 of the fans on here are accepting or happy? Absolutely blows my mind. Clearly many don't remember the days when the club had something about it.
Do you understand PSR limitations? Mentality has to fit with that currently. History bears no correlation to our current footing.

Also, if you think Moyes is bottom of the barrel, I suggest you compare his Premier League stats with Dyche, to see bottom of the barrel.

European regulars that often played exciting football during a large part of his tenure. The best Everton squads since the 80s under his guidance. Youth players frequently making the leap from academy to first team. After his spell at Everton he was hand-picked to succeed the most successful British manager in history to manage the biggest club in the world. Players always speak about him in a positive light.

As long as he's allowed to manage in a similar style to how he was previously, and is given money to create his own squad (which will need to happen anyway) I have no doubt he'll be a success again.

It's not about getting a sexy new name in or some fancy foreign manager flavour of the month.

Welcome back Davey Moyes, I'm behind you 100%.

I will never forgive him for the way we lost that semi against a poor Liverpool team. Summed him up completely

I can understand fans wanting a safe pair of hands after the turmoil of the last few years but the league is that bad any decent manager keeps up

For me the new manager needed to be positive to lift the fan base. Moyes won’t do that. He doesn’t like youth, reactive subs at 70 minutes and no fight away at big clubs. We did play some very good / underrated football under him though.

Despite our situation, I’d hope that Moyes has learned lessons from previous experience and his original mindset of ‘taking a Spudgun to a War’ ideology has long since gone. Debate will be much clearer by the end of this transfer window. I think a lot of us may nail our colours to the mast once we know what squad are working with till the end of the season. 1st Feb will determine whether it’s an afterparty in your mates or after party in Diddys

Just a little one my son just said he did get us into Europe a few times he wasn't arsed about style of football but being a young evertonian he would have loved that chance to watch Everton anywhere in Europe . hope he does it again so he can taste it fun times..
