I’m not saying someone else would be universally lauded, but there are people who would be given the benefit of the doubt far more than Moyes. I have a season ticket, and I know EXACTLY what criticisms I will hear from the people around me if we’re losing next week. As I’ve said, I’m not just moaning, I get it, but there’s no denying it’s an incredibly uninspiring appointment at a time when the fans are genuinely desperate to be inspired.
The fans wanted Lampard….. that worked wonders.

Great days when we were losing at home to York and Bradford and spending our transfer budget on Claus Thomsen.
Last man to win us a trophy though but you stick with your Moyes the bottler.

One of the dumbest posts i've ever seen on the internet. Congratulations to you on that sir.

After a bit of time to think, I’m cool with it - if it is just until May.

He’s not the man for the medium or long term, but I think he can steer us to safety this season.

If that short deal really is on the table, I think we should take it.

What we don’t want is to give a multi-year contract to a manager who isn’t one of our preferred candidates just because he’s available.

We also don’t want to give out another 2 and a half year deal to a manager we only need for a few months to steady the ship. We need to break that cycle of being lumbered with a firefighter for an extended period.

I think Moyes could do the Ranieri job, and I’d be prepared to look past the Baines / Fellaini business for a few months for the greater good.
