Transfer Rumour Jaden Philogene

He was a great prospect when he burst into the Villa first team squad and started to get games coming off the bench three seasons ago now. Emery wanted to keep him but he wanted more first team football so went off to Hull where he did well and we got him back. This season he has struggled though and funnily enough his only decent performance was against Bayern, so it shows he does have it in him. He just hasn't played well and seems to be lost in the system rather than suddenly becoming a poor player. Emery asks his wide players to do a specific job which doesn't always mean just take a player on (which he hasn't done much of). There's a player there without doubt but he just hasn't settled back into Villa well enough and with Bailey also struggling a change is needed.
Nice one mate. We were linked in the summer along with you guys and obviously ended up there.

Out of interest, how was he 'lost in the system' for you? what was expected of him that was perhaps a bit out of his comfort zone compared to how he was used at Hull? Also - was he used mainly on the left or the right?

Wait, is he fast or another winger we seem to love to buy who runs like they are in quick sand getting nowhere fast.

crying out for pace here

How far do you think he could go with the 'right' manager? Are we talking England Squad potential or 'good' consistent premier league player?

Whats the highest fee that you be disappointed with?

To be honest he'll probably do well under Dyche and it could be what he needs - playing as a winger and detailed with getting the ball into Calvert-Lewin who whoever. Its just not what's required of him at Villa, so probably feels its a struggle not being asked to do what feels natural to him. As for the fee, I don't know, we won't know what else is in the contract (sell on and all that), but if it was straight cash probably look to get our money back.
