I'm enjoying how sanguine people are about waiting "patiently" for actions rather than words from our new Texan overlords. I hope they are just as sanguine when we lose the next two home games to Villa and Spurs - and are prepared to give the next manager, when he is belatedly parachuted in after the window closes, a full season of their support in the Championship as he picks up the pieces of Friedkin negligence.

We made these excuses when Moshiri arrived.

No one ever came in.

TFG get a bit more wiggle room. But to have none of the senior leadership or the club in place by now is poor planning. They have been going through the process for a long enough period of time to have had these things lined up.
No sorry that is nonsense, they have put two people in place already, and it is widely reported they have employed a top recruitment company to get the best people in, Moshiri did none of that and left Bill in charge, getting top people takes a lot of time, 6-12 notice periods would not be unusual.
We all want it to happen quickly but the realities of hiring good people is very different.

The manager on the other hand........?

Which is why they need to get players in now.

No matter if Dyche is sacked or survives we need new players into this club. Good ones.

For sure decent execs don't tend to come from the job centre - they are gainfully employed somewhere that is reluctant to let them go.

Managers are interesting - Whether you rate them or not, Moyes, Southgate, Allegri, Potter all have some credit in the bank and are available. I guess because an unemployed manager probably has to wait a bit for a decent gig.

They don't even know who their director of football is going to be next season - let alone their manager. Any player brought in now will likely be an orphan or a square peg come June. Utter mismanagement by the Friedkins.

We need new players - but we also need new football leadership to identify and select those players. Instead, we have a DoF and a manger who don't know whether they are coming or going and we are asking both of those to get in players who they might not be around to manage in six months. A farce.

It has been three weeks. If they rushed it we'd end up like we have the last ten years

Interesting to see blues becoming frustrated already with their leadership.

Dyche has turned the weans against them

We are in a crisis. We need crisis management - not dithering.

There was no reason they couldn't have had a new contract in place for Kevin Thelwell on day one if they wanted stability. Similarly, the manager. Instead, they left both of those in limbo, hoped for the best, playing both sides, and are now staring down the barrel of the Championship having enjoyed their Christmas holidays.

They have had months to have a CEO in place. They have had since September - when their offer was accepted. They certainly knew they needed a Plan B if the manager needed replacement - which was always a likely scenario having lost our first four games.

People are too quick to give these fellas the benefit of the doubt. They wanted to be judged by their actions. Right now, all we are seeing is inaction. No clarity, no communicated plan, no nothing.

Waiting until we lose the next two "winnable" home games to get in a new manager wastes another transfer window (which can hardly be all that joined up anyway given we don't know if the DoF who makes any signings this January is going to be even here come July).

Nah, these guys have made a very slow start.

How can they give a new contract to man they haven’t worked with? It’s ideas like this that got us where we are.
