This. We literally have no idea . They may be doing loads that we don't know about or may be fiddling while Rome burns

I have seen a few links with midfielders, usually rising objections on the basis that we need a lb and rw far more urgently. I don't dispute the need to fix those two positions urgently, but we desperately need a midfield general. The amount of times our midfield gives the ball to the opposition is mind boggling. We need a midfielder who isn't a bottle merchant, who is comfortable with the ball and confident enough to want to receive it and (ideally) who will bollock those around him for not doing the same.

Plus we need a lb and rw

I highly doubt they’ve made a £600m investment and then just decided to put their feet up

He goes into the last year of his contract in June, the club is protecting is asset is all mate, he has a market.

Just sell him in the summer then. The problem is the wages we offer him will price him out of his market!
