Let it go his design was excellent and from what I can make out, the wave vanished because the sixty seater stadium was rejected as, too expensive, Historic England and Co complaining over height restrictions and Everton's sayso. What could Meis do stamp his feet.

Ironically he did complain after being removed

and I'm sure Dave had issues with that aswell. Granted I could go over a look for quotes but it makes little odds to the current statement - he did complain.

Ive 'issues' with the ground myself, it would be nieve to suggest everyone thinks 100% the best from it. I think the 'single tier' south stand is misleading as its split upper and lower - im not gonna die on that hill however
 


  • First Everton Stadium test event will take place on Monday 17 February
  • Second test event to be held in late March or early April, with the date to be confirmed following test event one
  • Everton’s Under-18s and Under-21s will play friendlies as part of test event schedule
  • Tickets for first two test events will be made available to Season Ticket Members, Hospitality Members, 2025/26 Premium Members and shareholders via a ballot opening on Friday 3 January (10am)
  • 10,000 spectators to watch first test event, with capacity to increase to 25,000 for second event
  • Events will allow Club to obtain necessary licencing and safety certificates to officially open at full capacity from next season
  • Details of third test event to be confirmed in due course
