'Skeleton Crew'

Star Wars has been mostly misses, with a few hits, (Andor and first 2 seasons of Mando).

Wasn't expecting much from this, but was very pleasantly surprised. It is clearly aimed at kids, but is so reminiscent of 80's kids films, it is very enjoyable. If you grew up watching ET, The Goonies, Indiana Jones, Flight of the Navigator, etc, it may well be right up your alley.

Binged 5 episodes last night.

Tsunami: Race Against Time

Might be the saddest thing I've ever watched. Impossible to even comprehend the scale of lives lost. Very well put together documentary on it with tales of survivors and heros. Heartbreaking.

Have you had a look at La Palma on Netflix ? ( 4 parter )

Dramatisation of what could happen if the volcanoes on the island and erupted and caused a tsunami.

The acting isn`t great, but the story line of the geologists and other scientists trying to get the authorities to accept the reality of the situation and how un prepared they are is well done and quite frightening.

Plus the concept of a global tsunami event causing absolute devastation is well done too.

And It is based on facts. Acting not great but an interesting insight as to what may happen.

Just watched Ferry > Ferry ( the series/de serie) > Undercover > Ferry 2 (in that order) on Netflix. Dutch/Belgian production but dubbed in English about a gangster who has a big heart but a very vicious demeanour who gets involved in producing and marketing LSD. Absolutely loved it!

Some of the best crime dramas come out of Europe or Scandi.

Just finished Dune Prophecy.

I was something that I was really looking forward to and proved to be a bit of a let down tbh.

The sets, cinematography and production were fantastic, but it just felt a bit flat, didn`t hold your attention and you didn`t really identify with any of the characters.

Plus a lot of the supporting cast weren`t too hot at acting either.

Looks like there`s going to be another.

Yep, I think 'Ferry' was the initial film followed by the series then Undercover and, finally, 'Ferry 2'. In that order, I think?
