There was a majority of fans in all, ( not sure on here like) that voted for Kirkby , I was one of them sadly
, but in my defence and others we were fed a catalogue of lies, "virtually free, modern, state of the art stadium", the infamous Kenwright quote at the time, "The stadium will not pass a safety certificate". They lied about the capacity, they lied about the transport. The overall vote as I remember was still very close, as Tom Hughes says without KEIOC, we could well have been there. Our former regime, Prentice the Liverpool Echo still have a lot to answer for before they were laughed out of the hearing to decide on the viability of the stadium site.Blue peter
