I don't think he's a genuine option but we're almost certainly recalling Welch from his loan. He might be able to do the job of the 4th cb, essentially just a body in training for 11 vs 11 drills.
See it similar to the beto deal with the lack of money we have and most likely wanted another cb. The club did scout him but problem is us fans still hwve no idea if he is even good enough becuase just hasnt had any game time

I think O'Brien was different - I think it was Textor shenanigans. He was never starting for us this season, we didn't need to spend that money on cover at centre half. It was reported he was a "recruitment team signing" - in other words, Dyche didn't want him.
It's the reality of significant migitating circumstances with Everton's recruitment challenges over the last 3-4 years, caused by ownership.
We've brought in players I dont think Thelwell, nevermind Dyche would have wanted the last few years. Harrison, just because a clause allows £0. Even the likes of Lindstrom - he was far down the list.

Don’t see why he’d leave Fulham for us.
Also doesn’t fit what Dyche is doing. No attacking players do really. I defend Dyche more than others but his tactics don’t provide our attacking players with the chance to show their best selves
Possibly yes, but let's be honest no one really knows if he's good enough for the premier league as he hasn't been given chance.
It's pointless to look at any signings other than players who can add goal threat
