So our players have been able to go toe to toe in 3 consecutive matches against 3 of the best teams in the country. Conceding just once in those games and could have genuinely won two of them.

Yet we are gasdyched continually by being told that we shouldn’t expect anything from them because they are all awful players and it’s inconceivable to expect us to go to teams like Southampton and win because what is Dyche expected to do with “these players”.
I think with our players at least 45p in a prem season should be expected, despite we still have a lot to do 7 goals in 17 games of open play doesn‘t speak the manager.

Hope we can improve in both aspects with good options soon.

Set of players that can only play a certain way.

The entire Moshiri era have shown that if there's even a sniff of front foot football over a cautious approach, we get pumped.

You have to admit that for the majority of games we do create really good chances but don't have the quality to capitalise. The strength in the team is defensively rather than progressive.

Hope that changes under the new regime.

I’m back in the ‘he will keep us up, but it’ll be ugly and I won’t be shedding a tear at the end of the season when we part company’ camp.
I almost am too, but at the same time its going to be the games where we're not expected to settle for any meager scraps we can get, to be where it all goes to pot again.

Mate if you can’t see how it suits us to set up 11 men behind the ball and hurt bigger teams then football isn’t for you.

Not every game is the same unfortunately. “Toe to toe” is the nicest thing you’ve ever said about Dyche… we clung in there and ground out a point in each, if we had some proper pace we could have won two of them.

Andrei Kanchelskis on our right wing and the 3 draws would have been 3 wins.

Its that simple.

I was actually quietly confident going into the “Nightmare Dec”.

Dyche knows how to pull a result out when it’s made tight margins.

I’m actually more apprehensive about the next 4, were the expectation will be to compete for the win. Dyche struggles with this, the inferiority complex kicks in and we are more open and expansive, without the players to finish it and get picked off, especially at home.

Forest and Bournemouth could easily give us the ball, we go on the front foot, we make loads of chances, don’t finish them then get picked off.

Thats what teams will try and do, we have to be more Ipswich then Southampton.
I was publicly confident! Check the vaults 😂

Its like people on here have never watched Everton before

Out-passed, out-shot, out-defended, out-chanced, out-played and out-classed in all 3. I know the opponents are who they are, but acting like we were close to winning two of three is naive and incorrect.

Sure luck happens and maybe another year it does go that way. It is not the sign of a turnaround. The sooner he goes and the sooner the new era begins properly the better.

If anything, this lessens my opinion that he should stay. It took him this long to figure out that we should move to a formation where we had strength in numbers. I don't think he has done too much wrong lately, but I think his own hubris got him in this mess. He made the change and hopefully it keeps us well clear in the end. We still have prize money on the line at the very least. Fight for that and security.
