I was at that Bolton game too - or at least I was supposed to be. We checked into the stadium hotel expecting the game the following day - only to find, after I was getting edgy that there was no match preview on Teletext that the game had actually been moved to the day after that again. Oh dear. We wondered why the stadium hotel was so quiet...Middlesbrough built a new ground by the docks but its a bit dull and surrounded by industrial unit still after over 20 years.
I went to Bolton for a mid week game, Felliani scored a late winner, and a lad I got talking to before the game said a good few supporters stopped going when they moved out of the town as they felt it was the wrong thing to do. We were talking about going to Kirby around that time.
We have it right with the waterfront location, staying in the city, and if the surrounding area gets developed with lots of ale houses and places to eat, we will be onto a winner.
Up the incongruous blues!Great vid, as usual.
I know this has been asked before but, as LOR have officially handed over now, I'll ask again, is there going to be a screed or render on the flat roof areas? It just looks so incongruous with the bare concrete in comparison with the rest of the stadium. They've done it on the media centre, so I'm assuming it will be done.
Most Everton fans worry they aren’t going to see another league win in their lifetime.Great vid, as usual.

Real world issues mate. Most Everton fans worry they aren’t going to see another league win in their lifetime.
In this thread, we’re worried we won’t see the roof screeded.
I think it was a late change from Tuesday to Wednesday, and I was lucky to have both days off work so went to Stockport v Tranmere on the Tuesday. Never been so cold that night so went into millets before the game and got some thermals. Went to the game well wrapped up and was still freezing.I was at that Bolton game too - or at least I was supposed to be. With tickets already booked back to Ireland, we had a good laugh and chalked it up to experience. We won with a last-minute goal, but I believe it was Baltic, so silver linings...
Happens in all stadium. If you have an open roof with wind and rain, then people will get wetThe first 10 to 15 rows of seats look soaking going by the footage, is there leaks going on with the roof, if no leaks looks like a lot of people are going to get soaked in the stadium, there is either faults with the roof, if there are no faults a lot of people are not going to be happy :-(

People got absolutely soaked on Sunday, it happens in swirling wind and rainThe first 10 to 15 rows of seats look soaking going by the footage, is there leaks going on with the roof, if no leaks looks like a lot of people are going to get soaked in the stadium, there is either faults with the roof, if there are no faults a lot of people are not going to be happy :-(

With the height of the roof, which is needed for the number of seats and steepness, you're always going to get a % of the front rows being liable to the weather. The first 10 to 15 rows of seats look soaking going by the footage, is there leaks going on with the roof, if no leaks looks like a lot of people are going to get soaked in the stadium, there is either faults with the roof, if there are no faults a lot of people are not going to be happy :-(
If you look at the west stand where the lazy boy seats will be just under the middle hospitality is, that area is even soaked, wouldn't want to be paying a crazy pr8ce for a season ticket if you are going to get wet in that area, I know a certain amount of seats are open to the elements but not that far back? You know that wind will blow rain into the stands right ?
That happens in every open roof stadium
