Meh, im not gonna be starting no witch hunt after 2 back to back 0-0s, 2 draws is a decent return against 2 teams in very good form, tough game next and then despite Forests fine form I expect 3 points from that, expect, not demand, be nice to score a goal like.

The lack of wins and goals is frustrating and ive made my feelings about the fella previously, but the players are still putting in the work, so you know, we plod on with him for now.

Give peace a chance.

I'm surprised people are so animated about the last two excellent results.

Dyche is merely protecting the Friedkin investment. He has no future beyond that. As soon as it becomes expedient to replace him, they will. I reckon he could well be gone by February if results start to turn against him again.

Right now, the ship is steadier. Let's see how long that lasts - hopefully until May. But whether it does or not, this man has no future here because people simply will not watch this brand of football beyond absolutely necessity - and that's simply staying up.

I'll say it again mate:

Every person in this thread is currently of the opinion that they'd be happy if he left tomorrow, and yet there's still been 15 pages of arguing in the last 12 hours. Tasty.

Absolutely wild this thread.

We’re never going to play attractive football under Dyche, but I give him credit for the organisation and work ethic the team showed today. It was also nice to see him not waiting until the 80th minute to make substitutions. Everybody played their part today, even Lindstrom, who I’ve been extremely critical of. Well done for a deserved point against a decent Chelsea side

I was just adding him to the list of players,
It depends on what you think of Onana compared to Ndaiye as that’s the only real change from the starting 11 , but are Harrison and lindstrom better options than Dobbin and danjuma
Well Harrison was an option last season but in all honesty I've not seen Lindstrom as a step up from Danjuma. That could change if he manages to adapt to the PL but as of yet he's not showing it. Even a genuine world class player like Bergkamp took a while to find his feet though so hope springs eternal.

Onana and Ndiaye perform / performed completely different roles so I wouldn't compare them directly. Ndiaye is an upgrade in that he pushes either McNeill or (preferably) Harrison out of the side and though I wasn't a massive fan of Onana I still think Mangala is a fairly significant downgrade in centre mid though of course we're better with the option rather than just Doucore and Gueye with Garner on the physios bench.

But it does go with my point that we've constantly sold our bigger assets and replaced them with less quality. And with yet another year on the older legs I'm not sure the additions are enough to deliver an overall upgrade on last years squad. If I was feeling generous I'd say we've at best stood still in terms of quality and in the PL that is nowhere near what is needed to stand still in terms of results.

I'm not a huge fan of Dyche, despite the profile pic, but without investment I can't see many managers getting much of a tune from this squad with a transfer policy that has been so strongly slanted towards income over spending for a not insignificant period of time with recruitment that maybe gives favourable payment terms a little too much emphasis over player quality.

A manager more concerned with footballing aesthetics, their 'vision' or the right way of playing would see us similar to Southampton or Burnley at their worst last year. Until the purse strings are loosened then dour pragmatism, direct play and frustration are probably the safer route to PL football in the new ground.

Sack Dyche by all means but whoever comes in will need backing.

I disagree to be honest, yes we’ve had to sell to buy, but lindstrom and Harrison is an upgrade on dobbin and danjuma. Onana wasn’t playing towards the end of last season, while Ndaiye plays every game, mangala has done well I think, definitely better than playing doucoure or Tim in there. And know we have Broja fit. The squad is better this season

The thing is that up to this point he's never had a boss telling him they want more wins and to go for it more often. So he's played very cautiously.

We've seen on occasion especially away from home when the chance allows for it that we can go for it a lot more under Dyche. The obvious example was Brighton 2 season's ago. I have a feeling he'll feel like he should do that more often now - especially as the defence looks a lot more solid.

TBH I'd be reasonably happy keeping it tight and looking to nick a winner, as that's what's kept us safe under Dyche.
The Brighton game was a complete fluke. Never looked like repeating it.

Like him or loathe him as a person, and respect what he’s managed to do here or believe he is the issue, the utter fury some people have over his words in the post match interviews is just weird now.

I can’t see he says anything wrong or fantastical. Not sure what different lineup he could have used today, and confident if he told them to bomb forward and press man for man we’d have got brutally massacred. I’d have him replaced as soon as it’s safe and financial viable to do so. Some people (not specifically here) have fallen into the well of spending weekends finding something to hate Dyche for, rather than watching the game, applauding the effort, and watching a few drone vids of the new stadium with a stiff drink, looking forward with a bit more optimism.
