Martinez benefitted from the defence Moyes built and added some flair.
Unfortunately he didn’t have the capability to maintain/update a tight defensive unit as those players aged.
His stubborn stance on keeping Howard in goal was what lost the fans eventually.
Not good enough, and has failed to deliver in every job since.
 
I would genuinely like to think they have spoken to Dyche, told him what they expect from him and given him an amount of time to deliver. Hopefully amongst their expectations is a more open, entertaining style at GP because as has already been stated, watching us playing hoofball every single home game is a massive drain on the soul.
 
Watts' to Dyche yesterday apparently (according to Dyche himself) said that he could "go out and tell them [the media] that they [TFG] know he's been up against it finance wise since he arrived".

What a 💩house way of doing things...why didn't Watts go out and do that?

I dont like that feller already.

Not much point backing the manager too much, it's obvious that if he doesn't start winning more games he'll go, and he knows that.

Well yes. But that doesn't rule out saying publicly they acknowledge Dyche's efforts.

If he hadn't have led the club in to very tricky seasons to safety then TFG would be nowhere near this football club. Maybe they should reflect on that and have some decency in terms of what they're willing to say publicly on Dyche.

It's 💩housery of the worst order what they've (not) done so far re Dyche.

No it isn’t. It’s an entirely understandable business decision. The new owners don’t want the smell of rancid scotch egg all over them. If he wins enough games to keep us up comfortably, they’re going to let him see out his contract (which is the cheapest option), but if he doesn’t, they’ll boot him before the end of the season.

It doesn’t matter what he’s done to date, there’s no way he fits their profile of what they want in a manager to take the club forward. He’s not staying.
