Weirdly Matty if you give managers more money for better players they tend to win more no matter how bad they are

If you keep selling their best players and buying rubbish ones they don’t win more.

Maybe Everton can try the first option for a change rather than always asking the manager to improve a load of rubbish players

dyche wouldn’t and coudnt change his style if we had city’s squad

What is dyches idea of a better player, kiean trippier?

3 wins in 15 this season...

5 wins in the last 19 games of last season...

8 wins in the last 34 games!!!!

Clubs these days do not appoint the Dyche and Allardyce type of manager, those managers playing a robust type of direct football have been phased out of the game by referees and VAR, you can`t be overly physical these days and get away with it.

Just look at Wolves, Leicester and Southampton they`ve got Perreira, van Nistelrooy and Juric... you just need to get good managers but unfortunately we have a fanbase stuck in the dark ages of football and think Dyche is the answer, absolute fantasy. How many do you hear shouting "get rid" or "clear it" at Goodison when our defenders have the ball demonstrates that lack of football knowledge in this day and age and that is in keeping with the view on Dyche.

I can`t even say Dyche is a fraud because he is just crap and every metric tells you he is crap... time to go.

If the Friedkins extend this idiot we are in for another rough few years like we`ve had under Moshiri, absolute lunacy to keep this manager on.

Crybots out in legion tonight, has the AI discovered how to create multis?
I think people who are capable of critical thinking, realize dyche is an extremely limited manager and despite his accomplishment last season he has not really been able to progress with squad and his established faults such as game management , team selection and tedious tactics have become even more glaring and problematic. He is extremely obstinate which is a terrible trait in a manager, as we witnessed with Martinez so I don't expect him to adapt

Hmm it looks like they plan on keeping Dyche on until the end of the season. I suppose trying to find a positive thing here, is that it gives them plenty of time to get his successor right.

Really though for me the new ownership has gotten off to bit of a downer. Hopefully things can only improve from here onwards.

Unfortunately the Dychettes have become increasingly oblivious to the fact that since last season he has had more players, we have a better squad than before and he is performing worse!

So the throwing players at him idea simply doesn`t stack up.... Get him gone and lets have some pride in our club again! FFS

DID I NOT TELL EVERYONE THIS????

Only to be shot down by absolutely loads telling me he is getting fired as soon as he walks in the door...

Look at the improvement since Branthwaite has come back in. That’s one player. Now imagine we had a Branthwaite quality player in every position of the back 4 (Citybhave even better), and a top quality striker upfront. Even if we played exactly the same football as we have with all the other rubbish players in between how many extra points do we have just from Keane Young Mykolenko not making errors and DCL Beto not missing sitters? Now imagine we added midfielders with pace and technique who could pass and control a ball.

You could play exactly the same ‘turgid’ style of football yet we’d probably be at least 6-9 points better off.

So yeah I’d rather just give a manager a decent squad and then when he underperforms with it I’ll get angry at him as I did at Martinez and Koeman and Silva. Battering Dyche endlessly for taking a team that was 19th and keeping them up whilst we continue to asset strip the squad seems less useful than actually being angry at the owners and directors for putting us in this position.

Why do we even have managers then if the aim of the game is to just buy better players and that’s it? And a player is apparently just the same ability level forever regardless of which manager is managing him? Like there’s no capacity for a manager to improve a player ever, he just is that ability level and that’s it.

I don't know if that's the case I thinkbright now it's just a matter of assessing the situation before making a move rather than just walking through the door and uprooting everything

Also dyche doesn't know what to do with skilled players and creates absurd reasons when we buy players and dithers to put them on the pitch like they're not premier league experienced

Let’s get a good squad in place and then we can argue about what the manager is doing with it.

So far though all we’ve done is called every manager since Moyes ‘crap’ and in that crop is one of the greatest managers of all time who finished….10th.

Maybe it’s time to look at the recruitment of players, how much money we’re investing in the squad, the culture at the club etc. and deliver an actual decent squad to a manager before we just spin the wheel again and call the next one crap as well.

I’d say that’s the case. In an ideal world things improve and they can transition at the end of the season but if performances and results aren’t up to standard then that will change quickly I imagine. Always the same with new owners.
