They've spent badly. Not Everton badly but badly. They've got a decent squad. Not levels above ours and we've spent beans in the last 5 years. If you asked people which players to sign from other teams, you'd get maybe 2 or 3 from Forest. Gibbs-White and Odoi then it falls off to meh. They're playing above their ability and we're playing to not lose most weeks.
They spent amazingly. It’s all about opinions though, but I’d take a chunk of their squad over ours. I’d keep Pickford and branthwaite.
They have a fuctional forward line. Wood is good non-top four premier league striker, Hudson odoi and elanga make a good front three.
Gibbs-white is great player and only not an international because of the strength of the current England midfield.
Murillo and Milenkovic are strong defenders.
Elliot Anderson 40m from Newcastle has also exceeded what I thought he’d do.
Then the likes of nico Williams around them, but it’s a decent well balanced premier league squad.
Strong reset, had some misses but if they cashed in on their players they would have made more money than they spent.
Not sure how the psr looks for them moving forward.
For me only villa have beaten them in the transfer VFM stakes.

Caught up with a mate I used to play football with years ago, Watford STH for many years.

His view on Dyche - he's liked at Watford cause he was our captain for years and we were in the relegation zone when he took over. No-one would have him back. People thought we were mad when we got rid of him and replaced him with Zola but those people didnt have to go and watch his team play every week.

Spent more than Liverpool in the Summer, they are currently cruising the Title while we cruise in 15th.

To be fair that’s being generous to us. Our current cruise:

The football has been hard to watch. Dyches job was to get us to this point though. Keep us afloat in football terms and in financial terms until investment comes in.
If he left now I wouldn’t be upset as long as the money spent and manager bought in Is capable and a roll of the dice.
