Agree with the shouts for Thomas Frank, think he'd be a great appointment
I think he's the most attractive of the more logical choices.Agree with the shouts for Thomas Frank, think he'd be a great appointment
There’s some good managers out of work, all we’ve ever done is appoint someone with prem experience, bar Moyes fromAgree entirely. He'd be a wonderful appointment, both on and off the field.
But he wouldn't leave Brentford now, so it would mean Dyche stays on until the end of his contract.
Any managerial change now would mean bringing in someone out of work - most of them are out of work for a reason, or hiring a manager from a 'lesser' league who will be unproven and thrown straight into the fire.
It's not ideal given the way we are playing currently, but make the right change for the right man at the right time.
To be fair, I think Dyche does provide "extraordinary" experiences and certainly ignites people's passions. I'm just not sure that these are the experiences and passions Spitfire Dan has in mind..."We strive to deliver extraordinary experiences that ignite people's passions." - Big Dan
Don't think they will put up with Dycheball for long!
He’s going to set up exactly the same, why would he be any different, just because we have a change of ownershipI’m hoping at the least he’s not going to set us up at home against mid/low level teams the way he has been doing. The Fulham, and Brentford games were shocking, then throw in Brighton, Bournemouth and Newcastle. A lot of dropped points there. He got away with it due to the uncertainty but hopefully not now.
@peeb what you unsure aboutI also think it’s not going to be that difficult to stay up. 3 or 4 shocking teams below us.
I think it all rests on their first or at worst 2nd choice being available, seems like
They’ve spoken to Thelwell who didn’t want Dyche from day one
It will take time but we need to change the media narrative that we’re just another palace, Fulham and Brentford etcLooking forward to pundits defending him to the hilt whilst ignoring his name when a big 6 (or even Newcastle) job comes up.
Well, to be fair, we haven't been big six or seven for over a decade. Why would his name come up there?Looking forward to pundits defending him to the hilt whilst ignoring his name when a big 6 (or even Newcastle) job comes up.
As much as I dislike him and want him gone, today isn’t about him for me. It’s much bigger than that. The day to debate his sacking will come again very soon, but it’s not today.
He certainly ignites my passion. To be fair, I think Dyche does provide "extraordinary" experiences and certainly ignites people's passions. I'm just not sure that these are the experiences and passions Spitfire Dan has in mind...
