2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

You think we set up the same way vs Fulham at home, or Bournemouth, or Saints away, or even United away as we did against Arsenal yesterday? We absolutely never...

Well, let's look at my history on here shall we...

Big supporter of Carlo until he left.

Didn't think Benitez was a smart choice, but felt we couldn't just sack another manager willy nilly once he'd been given the job and had some sympathy for the paltry transfer fund he was given.

Backed Frank, right up until Boxing Day (well, at least certainly until after the last Bournemouth game) after which I offered him no backing.

Now I've backed another manager but apparently I'll never turn... Don't give up the day job and become a professional gambler mate :hayee:
We'll see.

We'll see.

You do know that I voluntarily said I'd stop backing him if we lost to Brentford, and then voluntarily said that nothing but a win vs Wolves or United would be acceptable?

I could also tell you about the time I backed Martinez on here, before turning after that derby, to much glee from others, so vociferous was my support of him, but then nobody wants to hear about my err, lost accounts.

So where's your latest red line, John? Chelsea, Man City and Forest are looking like tough fixtures given their form (Chelsea and Forest) and/or the quality of their squad (Chelsea and Man City).

He's got to win at least one, or draw all three. If we end up on less than 18 points after 18 games then that's just not acceptable. Even 18 points from 18 games is not good enough, but I've drawn a line under the poor start as I feel he's bought himself time since then. Having said that though, a better start and I probably wouldn't have to expect at least 18 points from 18 games, so the poor start might well still be instrumental in me turning on him.

Sean Dyche makes his own aftershave from Guinness farts
Dyche watches the first Karate Kid over and over again, and always pulls for Johnny from Cobra Kai to win the big tournament...

But stops the movie before Daniel-sen beats him with that whooping crane kick, and then fantasises that Johnny won it by 'sweeping the leg' aka 'the hard yards'.

With a beef and Tomato pot noodle wearing his signed Howard Wilkinson training top

You'd have to be happy with a point away to Arsenal, but two shots on goal for the entire game though!

Oh well we're in for an awful miserable slog and grind until we get to the new stadium.

As long as we keep our heads above water that's the main thing.

I think it's possible to be both satisfied at the result and simultaneously want Dyche still gone at the same time.

People saying it was our poor start to the season that's cost us, but there was a stat on Sky Sports before showing teams with the lowest points return since November 1st. City at the bottom and then there was us with Wolves, averaging 1pt a game since November.

Thats still an unbelievably crap return and this was when there was this narrative of "only 1 defeat in x amount of games"

We're coming up Christmas and we're on 15pts. That's utterly atrocious no matter which way you try and dress up
