I would be more excited if we went for a Conceicao type manager but also wouldn`t be too disappointed if we ended up with a Mancini, Mourinho or Allegri whose ceiling is that right at the top of the game instead of the point a game ceiling we have now.

I`m not convinced that TFG will change the manager and for me that is missing an open goal and show their lack of ambition for Everton who they will improve off the pitch and keep us bobbing along in the PL, everyone is expecting to see what they have been doing at Roma, that won`t happen here. I think Everton will be secondary to Roma who is the jewel in their crown.

I’m sorry, WHY would Roma be the jewel in their crown? What did they pay for Roma compared to what they are paying for us? And what is the potential for them to make money from a Serie A club compared to a Premier League club? This makes no sense whatsoever.

I genuinely have no idea if TFG will come in and immediately sack Dyche or not , I know that I would.

However I've got a gut feeling that if TFG have convinced themselves that Dyche can get us through to the Sumner still in the PL that they will keep him in post and make the change then.

Pretty dangerous strategy in my view.

Don't think they will sack Dyche any time soon after confirmation. Result yesterday and Vs Wolves will keep things chugging along. It's actually less our results as such than maintaining a minimum gap with the bottom three as I would see it, even though I'd disagree with such a view myself.

The other thing is the January window and giving any new manager some opportunity to have an input into signings but I think that's less of a factor.

I think TFG will hope they don't have to make a decision on Dyche until the summer and he'll go then unless relegation becomes more of an acute risk. Depends on your definition of acute.

Well our gap to the bottom 3 has been cut to 3 points.

Results are great, but any normal person has to query why their eyes bleed every match day and why they have a strange urge to neck a pint of bleach straight after. It's no coincidence.

Hopefully Friedkin is a normal person.

I’ve got a feeling it’ll be the other way around, maybe even sell Roma long term, there’s been rumours of Saudi interest there for ages

I think people assume just because Rome is a world famous, capital city full of history and Liverpool is a provincial city in the north of England, that Roma is a bigger fish than Everton, football wise and potential wise. It isn't for reasons explained in a few posts before mine.

The worst thing they could do is to extend Dyche's contract. This would really get them hate from day 1. But this wont happen 99,9%, even when Dyche now goes on a good run. He will be binned sooner or later.

Emery that trained PSG and Arsenal left a Spanish top club that he led to semis in the CL and also to a European title for Villa, a club that is as big as Everton historically, but been under performing for years before, mostly playing 2nd division even.

I think we play better football in La Liga in general, but PL offers much better financial possibilities and we pay managers a lot.

Roma may offer easier access to Champions League cash given the variety of winners there in the past 5 years.

PL is more of a closed shop. Keep us up, get the PL cash, fund Roma.
