They’ve played twice since our last game so it’ll be interesting to see which team looks the fitter, fresher and more vibrant and who is blowing out of their collective ringpiece after 20 minutes.

If there is one thing I hate about being an Everton fan in particular and our predicament in general it is fixtures like this one.

I have no anticipation or enthusiasm for games like this. None. Just going to make up the numbers and hoping we don't take a real hiding and be humiliated too much.

Our record at these grounds and against clubs like Arsenal is just a disgrace, an embarrassment, shameful, and pathetic, even allowing for where we've been and where we are.

It's gone beyond even statistical probability now and law of averages where you expect, in a blue moon, some freakish set of circumstances combine and we get a win. I don't believe a single member of the coaching or playing staff will go to Arsenal on Saturday and think we can win the game. We get a fair share of heroic draws and that's our lot.

If I had a minute with Dan Friedkin then this is what I'd tell him. This is what he has to understand if we are to ever change.

I think you misconstrue aspirations/dreams for winning vs. whining, what you'd like to see after we sack the board vs. sack the board.

Funnily enough it's games like this I don't actually mind as I'm expecting nothing out of it so any kind of result is a huge bonus. It's the likes of the games against Southampton, Bournemouth etc that get the hopes up of a performance and a win and generally this team leaves you infuriated and a point max best out of those

This game crept up. Might be a game we turn up in and get a draw or even a surprise win I think the Wolves win will have done wonders for the belief in the team. Arsenal are stuttering a little I fear Chelsea more but maybe get something from this.
