Well no not really, I’m pretty sure our fans are aware that the Friedkins aren’t gonna be running out onto the pitch and playing. In fact I can come up with a scenario where it’s actually preferable to announce it before a battering, because it will help to quell a bit of the meltdown knowing that the new owners are in and will bullet the manager off the back of it.
He won't last long.... I will let you know when a message flashes on my mobile ..... & don't suggest banning me either ..... :D

I have no doubt TFG have looked at our debt and how it can be structured to permit some flexibility when it comes to profit and sustainability rules. The very least I expect from TFG is an economic model that works. Given the recent history of the club I do not believe the new owners would invest a lot of money to take over the club without a plan to meet the profit and sustainability rules but also allow them to improve the playing side. I expect the debt to be restructured, I expect a considerable improvement in our commercial side given we have a super duper new ground and these elements taken together will allow some freedom in the transfer market. Oh, and I expect them to sack Sean Dyche.
And a bit of creativity with our accounts...a la chelsea. They will find the money if they need to in order to meet our psr obligations...no hotel unfortunately, but I am sure there are ways to free some budget for a decent January.

Can't stand the mood hoovers that have an attachment to failure and mediocrity, and are insistent that a TFG takeover will only have a negligible impact before they have even walked in the door.

'PSR', 'They will keep hold of Dyche', 'Evolution not revolution', 'Sponsorship won't make much difference', 'We need a five year plan just to reach the top half' etc etc.

Look at their investment in Roma, it has been substantial and it is in complete contrast to our series of negative net spend transfer windows over the last few years. They aren't spending hundreds of millions of pounds to acquire Everton just to risk it all on Sean Dyche and maintaining the financial strategies of Bill Kenwright and a sanctioned oligarch.

Clap! Well said.

I was looking at their signing Dovbyk and they paid decent money for him and his record was excellent at Girona. I don't follow European football but my lad said he was superb at Girona. That must have been classed as a decent signing at 26m at the time. I don't think he's hit the ground running at Roma, but a lot of strikers seem to struggle in Italy (unless your 100 years old like Giroud or Dzeko)

I don't think investment will be the issue..it's investing in the right way in the right places that's key. We have learned through the mosh era it isn't always about money. The right manager and players are key. That's what we need to get right and I hope TFG will get this right.

I think we can all agree on that. Nobody will want to see a repeat of Moshiri's wastefulness, but I think it's clear that they will invest.

Put aside the fact that they aren't Bill Kenwright; they don't really have a choice in the matter, they simply have to invest if they want to avoid disaster.

I'm in both camps mate. I am quite sure they are actually serious people who will invest into the club and take decisive action once they have the chance. However, we are probably still closer to another PSR breach than we'd like so unfortunately ANY new owners won't just be able to come in a splurge loads of dough from the off.

It's just the reality, mate. And people would do well to temper their expectations is all, let's all give the new regime a chance. Even if they decide to not give Dyche the bullet right away or not spend significantly in Jan. Like it or not there are very good reasons why that may have to be the route they take.

given that we have to abide by profit and sustainability rules, Friedkin can’t just come in with an open checkbook and start splashing cash on players. We have to show balanced books. I expect not very much action in January unless we sell players. It will take time for the new owners to turn this ship around to reduce debt and intetest payments etc.
Fortunately we no longer have to show balanced books! Or at least not as before. We just need to get revenue up, and keep player costs to 85% of it.

With the new rules, if the club start a new 100m narketing campaign(bankrolled by Dan of course) across the globe, and increases revenue by 85m, Dan loses 15m. BUT we can then spend an additional 72m on players. Im not saying he will do that, but owners can now do that if they are willing to take the losses.

The club needs new players in January and it's almost unfathomable to think Dyche will be wanted next season. Why would the new owners allow him to choose new players that the new manager will be lumbered with for the next four years? Hopefully they've already come to their decision to part ways with him, but whatever decision they make on that in the next 4-5 weeks will speak volumes about their ambition for the club.

I have been saying this for a while... keeping Dyche in charge is lunacy but I think they will do just that.

AND in January we will be buying players the manager that is out of contract in the summer doesn`t want, because why would they buy for him, and as we`ve seen with Dyche he will keep them on the bench.... Look at Danjuma, O`Brien and to a lesser degree Branthwaite last season and NDaiye this season.

1st big question for the Friedkins, for me, if Dyche stays it will be disjointed thinking and continue being an absolute basket case of a club.

Whisper it, perhaps the DOF could select & sign the players :o
