They could have followed the club anytime from now to until June, so them doing it right now is of some significance. It could be they are 'officially' involved in the club so the social media stuff starts kicking into gear.
"It's time. Follow Everton on Instagram."

Doesn't seem like a thing to me.

I'm as desperate for news on this as anyone, so I understand why so many want to see meaning in this happening right now.

But I think it's just a basic bit of admin.

You think an 11bn or whatever business just follows the club on its socials on a whim?

Not sure if you're deliberately misrepresenting what I say or don't understand.

Why they are following Everton is entirely clear. Why they chose the last few days is as likely to be a random bit of admin as it is a portent of confirmation.

I don't think they'd show any public connection unless they were 100% sure of it going through, which people have said may be dependent on the Leadenhall case.

I think it means it's close and they aren't concerned about the result of the Leadenhall case.

I'm not going to criticise anyone reading the tea leaves as they see fit.

But I do think confirmation bias is a thing - and I know that because I want you and everyone else who thinks this way to be right.

Why does it feel like this has took forever compared to the Newcastle and Chelsea takeovers, that seemed to fly through and be done in no time?

Probably because I wasn’t really paying attention to theirs as much as ours….
