Don't think so.

It's why we had some no mark crying on Sky Sports News when we did a uturn and went with Lampard.

It's why Bielsa jibbed us and we ended up with Dyche.

We're even less attractive now given point deductions/club pending new owners.

Friedkin confirmation and investment brings a worthwhile manager, IMO.

Until then - relegation fodder is going to relegation fodder.
Which want relegation fodder last year. I appreciate we may have been done there more than up throughout the season, but this sewson so far, with essentially the same players sans Onana but with N’Diaye are a lot worse. Why? It’s not all Branthwaite. We are rubbish at attacking. Players and manager culpable. We can’t do anything about players short term. We can the manager. Disclaimer - as long as Moshiri doesn’t choose them.

Even with our points back we didn't earn 40+ points until 33+ games last season.

We've averaged 41 points for 3 years.

We're routinely bottom 3 for goals scored. It dictates scrap.

I wish it was a simple as changing the manager. We also need better footballers. There has to be focus/attention on the absolute necessity to spend in January.

He’s after getting his mate Ashley Young to come out with this. No doubt. Utter tripe.

We can't get any new footballers until January at the earliest. We can change manager at any time. Nobody is arguing that the squad doesn't need improvement, only a small cadre are arguing that the manager doesn't need to improve and excusing him of everything.

Yes because the reality is that a world class manager wouldn’t come here

You’re really struggling to find holes in a very basic statement

Why mate? Standards. New stadium and all the other points you made. Has Kenwright done a number on you or what?!

The same is true for any manager we should be looking to appoint to get us back where we should be.

Prior TFG we're in Moyes territory. Or interim Baines.

All very relevant points , but not one of them is a reason to keep this buffoon in charge.

There is absolutely no reason why he can't be punted and a caretaker put in charge.
Then let TFG make their changes.

I honestly could not see someone like Baines doing any worse than the shhhtshow we are witnessing atm.

100%.

There are pro status quo posters (not the band), and people who want change in this thread. I think the posters accepting the status quo, are more entrenched in their positions as there will be posters who supported Dyche initially (like myself) that have changed their minds though the torrent of performances and results. No one started out against Dyche then changed their minds to supporting the current position. When will those folk see the light?

Averaging 40 point at 33 games means an average of 1.21 points per game.

Averaging 41 points per season is an average of 1.07 points per game.

We are at 0.9 points per game with nearly a third of the season gone and a favourable run of games so far this season. The other points hauls you speak of were having played more games AND the more difficult teams. We are currently returning a points per game return 21% less than last season at 33 games and 15% less than the last 3 years average you mention.

Its not looking good and we can’t just think we’ll go on some sort of mini run because we have in recent seasons. Dyche may well have relied on that, but twice it never happened and he was relegated.

Personally, whilst the players aren’t great, I think the squad is slightly stronger overall.
