2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

No, we’re not there yet - but nor is it the distant future.

A few weeks and the conversation about what Moshiri may or may not do is totally immaterial.

I don’t think it’s worth considering Moshiri’s thoughts on this at all.

It's not.

But the reality is he's the owner.

It's possible the new ownership are in place within a month.

It's very fair to talk about changing the manager in the near future. I expect it to be one of the first things they do.

But equally, the sooner we make a change the better. It doesn't matter who owns the club, the football is abysmal and needs a change.

?

There's been threads discussing the next manager and myself, since August have been saying there's no chance Dyche gets beyond this season and is jibbed the first opportunity.

The point here is that doesn't happen until ownership is resolved.

Standards are set by the owner (Moshiri, if that’s not clear).

Indeed.

It comes down to this;

An asset stripped squad, held together with pipe cleaners, 40 year old right backs, 35 year old centre mids rejoining to replace themselves years later. Zero net spend for about 5 years, a 25m championship striker on Klarna and a handful of hopeful loans - what does anybody see here?!?

Just shouting ‘we’re Everton though’ doesn’t make crap players any better. Christ it’s near enough as bad as peak Walter Smith this.

NSNO.
We're Everton Arent We?!
Etc
Etc.

Makes no odds.

Don't think so.

It's why we had some no mark crying on Sky Sports News when we did a uturn and went with Lampard.

It's why Bielsa jibbed us and we ended up with Dyche.

We're even less attractive now given point deductions/club pending new owners.

Friedkin confirmation and investment brings a worthwhile manager, IMO.

Until then - relegation fodder is going to relegation fodder.
Come on now. We didn't exactly do an exhaustive search. The higher-ups decided it was a race between three awful choices. Dyche wasn't even first choice among those terrible three.
You can't convince me that there aren't managers doing well in other leagues that wouldn't want the Everton job. Our problem is that we're never brave enough to take the step in hiring them. They have to be "premier league proven". Not that it's served us well.

I hope it’s not defence first Mancini! Can we get an attacking manager please, I’m bored to tears with Dyche and Allardyce types. Anyone with Dyce in their name are boring bugggers.

Apparently he wanted assurances or spend at Roma.

If that's the case he probably jibs us if we can't spend much in Jan.

Imagine appreciating reality.

Moshiri isn't paying Dyche off and hiring another manager.

No manager of any standard is coming in without the endorsement of new owners and assurances. Even Thomas Frank.

In years gone by I've been calling for us to sack Silva and Lampard for Emery/Mourinho.

Those days are gone.

Allardyce, Benitez, Dyche. Relegation scraps. Basketcase club with point deductions and an owner who has been trying to shift us for years.

Theres optimism with TFG and the new stadium. But we're not there yet.
Ok mate, except Carlo Ancelotti came in after Sam Allardyce.

And not one person is saying we should go after some world class manager.

We’re paying Sean Dyche £5m a year, you actually think that any manager wouldn’t take that when, in 6 months time, they’ll be walking a team out into a new stadium, have new owners and a pot of cash

Nah these managers are going to pass that up and think “best wait until the new owners are in and miss the chance of managing a massive club”.

But when you’ve been fed 25 years of lies and scare tactics and can understand why you think we’re lucky to be in the league and should just be grateful

None of us know, but its certainly possible the new owners are in place by Christmas. That's the timeline that was mentioned back when the news broke.

So now is absolutely the right time for them to start thinking about a new manager. They will want to hit the ground running.

It was to change with Moshiri. For brief spells it did. But the guy has been checked out for going on two years. Nothing will change until he’s gone, and even then who knows.

Saying it’s the fans is baffling. They’re reacting to the realities on the pitch and off it. Shouting at clouds isn’t holding someone to a standard.

I agree with you however Fans over the years have played their part in this. They talked down anyone who wanted to demonstrate or show dissatisfaction with the previous regime and even after under Moshiri and his cronies tried to character assassinate supporters with the headlock disgrace, there was still many who showed a attitude to any protesters or deemed negative opinions as “toxic “

I don’t like saying this, a lot of slime ball tactics have gone on at this club over the years and some were willing to play ball for their own benefit and suspect it still goes on to this day

Again, it’s not our problem. It’s Moshiri’s

So now it's "any manager"

What happened to NSNO?!

We want a manager befitting of the club to progress us. That's not happening until we have a new owner.
