That's the thing mate, i didn't agree with it, but i understood it.

Ive taken teams before. For one reason or another your best player could be out. The lad who comes in does well. That lad may be popular with the group, has worked hard for the chance and overall you have to man manage the squad, keep it competitive and make all 20-30 lads feel if they perform and contribute well they will have the chance, it keeps the overall squad competitive. If not it can undermine the whole squad.

I understood it, even if Branthwaite is clearly far more talented.

I was more talking about him opting to start the season with Keane as opposed to Jake mate. That opening day team sheet soured the mood of many before a ball had even been kicked.

As for leaving Branthwaite on the bench for Keane, I'm really not sure what to make of it. If he thought that Keane had really earned a crack at a starting spot, then surely he's doing enough to warrant giving Tarks a breather? But then the waters are muddied, because Branthwaite has clearly had fitness issues, so from an outside perspective, it's been difficult for me to form any real opinion on the decision to keep Jarrod on the bench.

And defeat today you promised us a hiatus :D

I could actually see John, Ste and even the boss jumping out of the Dychemobile if we get beat today. Neiler and SD will continue attempting to steer it without any wheels as the engine is on fire. It would take Putin’s nuke for them to ever give up on him, every excuse under the sun will be made, from the players to the fans to maybe even Tom Davies, it’ll be everyone else’s fault.

Well yeah. Just gonna look a bellend if I do a complete u-turn and start laying in to him.

I've always maintained that it's my right as an Evertonian to back our managers. I never, ever want us to have to sack managers. I certainly won't be coming on to argue with some kopites and the odd loon ball who will still say keep him if we lose today.

Ste wont, ste is to Dyche what MAGA is to Trump

He’s in too deep; he only really started posting frequently when Dyche was appointed

See that’s SD to me. Gets overtly angry whenever any criticism of Dyche appears on here. Ste I can imagine being humble enough to change his mind based on enough evidence being presented.

Will hold you to that.
