Gladiator 2. It was ok, made better by seeing it on IMAX. More of a spectacle than a film. Almost everyone is over acting, especially the twin Emperors.

On Mescal, I don’t think he was necessarily miscast @COYBL25, I just think the character is poorly written. He’s all over the shop. Obviously just my opinion but that’s what I took from it.

Think that's become the Ridley Scott blueprint of late. Visually stunning films filled with potholes and poorly written characters.

He also did Napoleon, which was a proper stinker too.

He didn’t do the new Blade Runner, that was Dennis Villeneuve, who also did both Dunes.

The last decent film he did in the last decade was The Martian.

In terms of visually stunning films filled with potholes and poorly written characters...
I'd still take him over Michael Bay and the absolute dreck he turns out any day of the week!

Last Duel is in Film4 tonight.

Another one that was visually good, but a whole load of nothingness.

It is... A very long film where nothing really happens.
But it did make me wonder: What if Adam Driver and Adrian Brody made a film in 3D together?

Well I never thought I’d see Will Smith in an Aliens / Predator film

I’d have thought a better bet would’ve been to do a proper follow on of Predators with Aiden Brody.

I actually enjoyed that one.

I worry when I see Will Smith's name.
If they give him a lot of leeway, I can see him throwing DJ Jazzy Jeff a bone, and together they make some jarg rap tunes for the S/T like he did on 'Wild, Wild, West'.

I'm not even joking. That is a possibility!

He wasn`t too bad in I Am Legend, so I`ll approach it with an open mind.

I can think of quite a few actors I`d have cast before him though, Christian Bale being a very obvious one.
