You do realise it was a completely different team?

Baines, Rooney, Schneiderlin, Jagielka, Walcott and Gylfi all walk in to this team.

Then you've got 2017/18 Gueye and Coleman

Vlasic, a young DCL, and arguably Niasse get on today's bench. As too does Mccarthy, Klassen, Martina,

???!?!?

Any chance of a decent reply? One that debates what I actually posted?

Nope? Didn't think so.
There is nothing could be written that a Dychette wouldn't defend so i just don't bother any more. Allardyce had plenty of terrible players that you never mentioned and was terrible at managing them all, decent players included. But still has a better record than your hero. :D

I don't know. But what's that got to do with who bought him?

Well, he was our manager. He said that. I think it's fair to say he has to take some of the responsibility.

If we're going down that route, it's gonna be hard to criticise any manager when it comes to transfers during the Moshiri era. Saying that though, I do have some sympathy for them all because of his meddling, but we might as well just close down any transfer debate regarding managers if that's how we're gonna look at things.

Anyway, back to my original point. Do you think Sam had a better team? I've yet to see anybody challenge this assertion. All I've had is a list of 4 crap players he had, one of whom he signed and publicly praised.
