Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Well at the start of next season we won't have Young or Coleman ( I would be incredulous if we offered them new deals).

We have to take a view on Dixon. Is he good enough to be back up ? Based on what little I've seen - yes.

So, next question is do you want Patterson to be your starting full back and is he going to stay fit? It's probably a no to each of those questions so yes I'd move him on and buy a starting full back.

It's a similar situation up front.

Is Beto good enough to be starting or back up ?

Is Chermiti going to stay fit and good enough to be back up?

Is DCL going to sign a new contract and do we even want him to for £130k per week with such a poor goalscoring record?

Hate to sound like Zat but I think I'd let DCL go , move Beto on and bring in a quality striker.
I really think they'll offer Coleman another deal, lead us out at BMD and all that sentimental guff.

Good Evan's Zat that's his first Prem goal since last November..

Is it really :o hopefully we could get him for a bargain fee then.

You know he only turned 20 a couple of weeks ago? He'd be the ideal 'big man' that many of our fans seem to love.

Zat he has been linked with the likes of City and Bayern, if those types come in for him again he won't look sideways at us as we have nothing to offer him basically.

Being linked to teams doesnt mean players will move to any of them. Same story with Jonathan David, he's been linked everywhere for 3 years -- why not make a move for him?

There is nothing to lose by trying.

Josha Vagnoman RB at VFB Stuttgart, only 23 and shades of a young Kyle Walker, big, powerful, lightening quick, good on the ball going forward. No idea about a LB tbh, can't see a standout one anywhere.

What do you make of these:

Kayode Fiorentina
Jelert Galatasaray
Sildillia Freiburg
Santos Lille
Zague PSG

Yes maybe but I don't see it unless Thelwell can use previous links, that's where having a Jose would make a difference tbh. Have only seen Sildillia tbh and yeah he looks to have a future, he would make a decent signing.

Odobert looked good for Burnley & is a winger while Ait-Nouri is a left back / Left wing back so in theory would be cheaper.
Also sure was on a big contrwct and think wolves still have money problems, think we can do better than nouri ino. Is a wingback we need a lb who can attwck but also better defensively than nouri imo.
I’ve no idea who’d even be available. Full backs like Kyle Walker-Peters etc would make us far more competitive going forward.

It’s incredibly rigid with the two full backs & the manager.
Would be who i would go for in jan covers both sides then be scouting for rest of the season other fb. Unless they already have plans for both rb and lb

With the stated goal of having a new manager soon does it really make sense to vring in players to fit Dyche's system? Wingbacks might be something the next manager relies upon....
