It's all a step in the right direction. The apartments at the Lock/Lightbody street are coming on well, and work continues on the tobacco warehouse. Looks like work on the park will get going before long, so every little bit is a step towards a complete regeneration. It's a hotel, there's other 'jewels' in the vicinity.

True enough, and obviously neither the club or anyone on here (unless they are planning officers, I suppose) can have any influence on developments on private land outside the stadium development. Like I say not against the hotel, and I'm very much in favour of developing that neglected part of the city, just wished it was a bit more interesting!

Just because I mentioned it earlier, this is allegedly (source, the Echo) a picture from the roof of the apartments going up at the Lock/Lightbody Street. Can't find any actual pictures of them, but they're looking not far off finished now...

They've just realised the pitch doesn't fit so they've got to knock it down and start again

Loads of turf to take back to B&Q as well, but I've heard the truck can't squeeze in.

Nice! Once they finish it (and before other projects start), will we be able to walk from the city centre to BMD via this park?

Definitely be able to go via the park, it's whether you'll have to swing a right at somepoint to come out on to Regent Road or be able to continue through the other docks to get to the stadium.

And relocate back to L4 to build the stands around the original pitch

Love this view. Since it features the top of Silvester Street / Scotland Road where I went many times as a kid because of family. 3 pubs in a row The Foot, the Widows and the Honky Tonk.

Hoping that's just in test mode and when they do it properly the lights will be angled up more to create a warm glow across most of cladding, instead of just a narrow band of colour.
