I've binge watched Rivals, all good fun and fortunately they not took out the naughty bits, all the cast are very good especially Aidan Turner and Danny Dyer, fantastic 80's soundtrack and fashions. Great escapism for these miserable times.

Yes.

Nah not really. Helps in the sense it puts you in the world, and gives you an intro to the Penguin as a character and why the city is in a mess but I wouldn't say it's required to enjoy and understand it.
