Welcome Gareth Southgate

His win rate with England was 60% because a huge chunk of fixtures were against actual farmers from semi pro leagues in qualifying. Why on earth you’d compare win percentages between a manager in international football and a manager in club football I’ll never know. Klopp’s win percentage at Liverpool was 60% so what we’re saying here is that Southgate is as good as Klopp are we?
No need to be so aggressive.

Southgate is the subject of the thread. That's why I compared them. I have said nothing about wanting him, or believing its even true.

Wind your neck in.

Shall we get a manager that has a worse points average than Dyche in the league despite taking over a mid-table team of Steve McClaren back then?

I never said you wanted him or thought it was true? You did however say that he’d be an improvement on Dyche, the reasoning you gave for that was their respective win percentages. Don’t know why you’ve got to make things up that I’ve said.

My absolute dream to get one over one the RS "best stadium in the Championship" brigade would be to move to the spanking new best stadium in the PL, with a new owner determined to build a top 4 team and Klopp installed as the new manager, what payback for 30 years of their gloating and pathetic mutterings. There'd be floods of tears down Priory Road which would stop the traffic  Also to be honest you'd expect a businessman of Friedkins quality to at least ask the man if he wanted a job in a new stadium in his homeland. that's if he hasn't already. It would not be a FSW moment in any way but a coup of all coups.

No matter who they have managed (though I don't remember England/Southgate ever playing a Farmers 11), he, and 95% of other managers would be an upgrade on Dyche.

Fair enough, I don’t agree and struggle to think of a professional manager that is worse than Southgate. But yeah we played farmers XI’s at least twice every qualifying campaign anyway.
