Offside rule: bring back daylight!

On the back of those incompetent and anti-football linesman decisions tonight...


You remember when there had to be "daylight" between the last defender and the attacker before the linesman would give it offside?

This is good for 2 reasons:

1) it gives the benefit to the attacker...which is great for the attacking spirit of the game

2) it's a lot easier to spot for the linesman. Far easier than his current job making judgement of mere inches between fast-moving athletes.


So...poll. Bring back daylight or keep the offside rule as is?
 


I thought the benefit of the doubt was meant to go to the attacking player?

The only doubts i had regarding them were wether the linesmen could read a numberplate from 10 yards away.
