"le i just pooped my pants face"
They got the Sho and Def numbers mixed up at fifa hq, fecking useless, kids are crying here.

….i’ve been his biggest critic, probably the first to put my case when his stock was reasonably high a number of years ago but I think blaming him for Saturday’s defeat is wide of the mark. There’s probably a case to say he was the best performer of the back four, certainly less culpable than the two full backs.

I want him gone as much as the most.

My issue with Keane is he's just not a leader, it wasn't until someone highlighted it to me, that defensively, he's always waiting for someone to tell him where to be, when to make a run and so on.

Don't think any of the defence has been decent this year, but Keane is also a burden due to what I can assume is rock bottom confidence?

Do think some of the flak he gets is way over the top, but he's just not a very good defender.

…we know him well enough now to determine his weak character, I was told years ago that the club recognise that and work on it with him. He’s not competitive and turns like an old boat but Saturday wasn’t down to him.

Think all 3 goals are down to poor defending, and poor management.

Think I saw McNeil and Iroegbunam walking back as they were attacking (both should have both been off - for fresh legs).
Think other defenders not tracking their men hasn't helped.

I think his presence certainly unsettles the back line, but like yourself I don't think he's at fault really on Saturday, only one man is.

When you ask again and again why Michael Keane is in the team and you are told PL experience then you look at the facts we concede more with him in the team. Then people say oh but he was OK even if he is he gives those around him kittens because he's tactically indisciplined and has a chronic lack of mobility. Plus he makes one mistake and his gormless head goes to pieces.

Also we have a new CB we just paid 16m for what is Dyche waiting for???!??!??!?!?!? He threw away five games on Keane last season and he's doing it again. Utter insanity. I would be selling Keane not starting him!
You’re forgetting all the games he threw away when he took over from Lampard and insisted on playing Keane over Mina! I think we went 10 games without winning.

I think you could argue that he was at fault for the first goal for not doing more to block the ball coming across, although for both this and the second goal Mykolenko looked hopeless.

With Keane though, we just always seem to be much more vulnerable when he's in the back 4.

I think Keane showed on Saturday that while he is still here, until the end of the season, he should only be used up front where he might slot a few but never in defence where he is a definite handicap.

The goals weren't on Keane on Saturday, he like a lot of the team played really well for 85 mins and he took his goal well.

That said, in those pressure moments like when they stepped up a gear in the last 5 plus injury time, he doesn't step up.

It's never been a lack of talent that has been Keane's downfall at Everton (not saying he's brilliant of course, he has his limitations), it's been his mentality and decision making in key moments. Save for the obvious caveats like how much money he's on etc, I do actually just feel bad for him, must be pretty depressing state of affairs knowing all the fans want you gone and feeling deep down you are gonna be a car crash if you do get picked.

Of course. He gets made a scapegoat when as a collective back 4 it's championship level. Been like that for seasons.

Branthwaite turns it into a premier league defence.
Deffo need a PL level RB (a good LB would be good too) and hopefully O’Brien can put pressure on to start. I just think Keane brings this fragility to the defence. But obviously we miss Branthwaites qualities as a defender.
