A Frenchman is the star of the olympics; posh British rowers (who get most of the lottery cash - surprise surprise) are falling on their faces; Irish swimmers are doing brilliantly - as are Chinese swimmers and divers; Arab women boxers are smashing faces in.

It's a disastrous olympics for the Brits. All they have to shout about is Biles for Uncle Sam.

What a load of clap trap. Two of the best Gold Medals, if not thee best two, have been won by Brits. Alex yee and Tom Pidcock.

Why are they 'two of the best' gold medals?

Pidcock btw should have been disqualified for unsportsmanlike behaviour near knocking off the silver medalist by taking up his line on the run in.

Why exactly do only golds count?

You could say why do other medals count over non-medalists if you take that line.

The Gold is the measure of success. Like it or not, it is.

South Korea's are all in shooting, fencing or archery so by your rules they have no gold medals.

Well, they're not as noteworthy as track and field medals.

Best chance of Gold is with the rowers but sailing and showjumping teams with great chances. 1 more chance for the women Boxers as well.
