Oh baby Jesse Marsch just stuffed US Soccer in a trash can

He's correct, of course.

USA job is not that enticing imo. First, international football is a step down for most managers in a job. Second, if you don't do well for the USMNT, where do you go from there? Asia? The Caribbean?

It will likely be Cherundolo. Wilfried Nancy would be the closest thing to a realistic, exciting choice.

Agreed that no top manager wants to get into international football but we can and should still do better than Gregggggggggggggggg

I feel like we will by default. Even Cherundolo has a better CV than Gregg entered the job with. They should be bold with this hire though, I think Cherundolo is guilty by association with the national team and domestic game.

My issue with cherundolo right now is just lack of experience. Only been with lafc for a few years and no international tournament exp. Given the auto qualification into 26 home WC, he wouldnt even have the opportunity to get acclimated to competitive, tough international games (another reason Gregg should've been gone before copa).

The British berhalter lol but at least he's managed high level tournaments. Depressing group of names outside of the very unlikely poch rumor and the De la Fuente pay raise leverage rumor
Agree. We’re nothing more than leverage for De La Fuente. Hope we don’t spend a lot of time with that but given Crockers track record to date, I won’t hold my breath for anything more than a 6 month search that yields finally offering Cherundolo or Nancy. If nothing jumps off the page, it’s important to get one of those guys in now given how much time has already been wasted.
