Exactly. They were written for kids about 20 years ago. Many chose to spend time and pocket money on them.
Reading books is kind of optional. Hitler, pretty soon, wasn't.
We were all seriously let down with that. The program, as I remember, was quite good and probably would have been regardless of the presenter.
