Rated, but League one is a huge step up.
He's be best having a year or so at Leeds or someone like that first
Well we could sign him from Peterborough for £3 million or so (a guess on my part) or let him go to Leeds, have a good season and then pay £25 million. We have to get out of the mindset that we can take the best players from the teams a tier below us, that's how we got into a ruinous financial situation. We need to buy young players before they've proved themselves, players who are out of contract, players from "emerging markets" or old players who still have something to offer. We can't buy proven players in the peak of their careers from England.

It’s certainly something we should be exploring in the future . Even if we loan players out , it feels mad that our best ‘business’ and some of our best players were recruited for relatively small amounts and some of them moved on for profit . Given how much we’ve lost putting ageing players on from ‘big clubs ‘ on massive deals it seems mad we don’t pursue our relatively successful strategy.

Worked with Branthwaite, I'm in.

It’s difference between thinking you moved to a big club and having to prove yourself, or thinking that you’ve peaked and you are on the way down.
