If we end up in a scenario where Croatia get through (extremely unlikely), but the route would be...

Germany Vs. Denmark
Spain Vs. Netherlands
France Vs. Runner up of Belgian group
Portugal Vs. Croatia

England Vs. 3rd in E
Italy Vs Switzerland
Austria Vs. Turkey
Winner E Vs. Hungary

Should Belgium finish 2nd there, Southgate would have fluked it again!
 
As it stands

Croatia and Czech or Georgia are out.

Which means we'd face the Netherlands.

However, should

Slovenia and Serbia fail to win, and Czech and/or Georgia win... then they'd progress.

In which instance we'd face Czech/Turkey/Georgia in the next round

However,

Should England win by 2+
Denmark win
It opens up for Czech to get through via a score draw.

If it was goalless it could come down to disciplinary records which are currently level with Slovenia

ADDITIONALLY....

Croatia can also progress. To progress they'd need a miracle but that miracle is

England to win 3-0,4-0, 5-1, anything to lower slovenia GD to below -3 or -3 in instance of 3-0

And Denmark also to win.

Then both of Portugal and Czech to win, should that happen...

Wed face Belgium/Slovakia/Romania/Ukraine whoever finishes 3rd

England can also finish 2nd which is Germany in Dortmund.

England can also finish 3rd and don't even ask me about that.

Why? We don't live in N.Korea. We have a realistic chance to win this tournament and it is being completely wasted by a negative incompetent manager who has been given every opportunity to succeed (unbelievable squad, friendly media, lots of time in the job, easy qualifying groups and easy progress in tournaments) and has completely failed and refused to learn from his mistakes. I almost want England to go out because I don't want incompetence to be rewarded.
 
Croatia can only get through if Turkey beat the Czechs, Portugal beat Georgia, the Danes beat Serbia, and England beat Slovenia out the gate.

While all four of those games SHOULD result in those outcomes, it's a long shot collectively.

The Turkey/Czech and Denmark/Serbia games are 50-50. The Portuguese might play a second string. And England are...England.

The tournament only starts at the weekend. I wouldn't write England off. Nobody need fear the Dutch or the winner of Italy/Switzerland - though both of those potential England knockout matches could go either way.

No excuses for England now. While it'll be a royal rumble in the top half of the draw between the four favourites, England have an effective bye to the final. It's coming home.
