I would see out the last year on 70k, then sign for my hometown club on a free transfer and get a higher wage for the last few years of my career.

But I suspect Holgate or Keane or Godfrey will fill the void left by Branners.

1 of them will probably move on, probably Godfrey due to his age.

Fair on the Holgate situation...unless he gets a serious injury. Id not risk it.

I see him going £5mil. Keane lol and Godfrey i hope £10mil.

You appear to be planning our Summer around retaining Branners, I think that is misguided.

IF he leaves we have 4 CBs, we might feel our cash would gain more benefit going towards midfielders and attackers.

Plus we have no idea what league we are in, who our owners are or even who the manager is.

If we go down it’s catastrophic.

If we stay up we are losing Branthwaite and Onana. Gomes will go too.

Bear in mind we have no “squad player” midfielder any more since Davies went without replacing him. So we are going to need 3 centre mids, one absolutely has to be creative, at least one centre back, and someone who can actually score.

Thelwell’s striker offerings so far have been Maupay, Che Adams and Beto.

We've spoke about selling these 2 for the past 4 summers...still here and actually on money more.
