Surprising that there has been no word from 777 or Everton following the PL meeting .
They were quite bullish in their briefings beforehand , predicting approval by the end Feb for instance.
Personally, I am hopeful that this may signal an end to the proposed purchase.

i can’t as of failing they’ve been every game

and lending us millions

add
to that moshiri doesn’t give a jot were f either way

Apparently there is nothing in the PL rules that states they have to give a decision, they just withhold approval.

I’ve seen speculation that they would get in indication at the face to face meeting whether approval would ever be forthcoming. It’s been radio silence since.

If approval isn’t forthcoming, it’s a stalemate between them and Moshiri as to who rolls it up first. They’ve pumped the guts of 200 mill in, will they put more in, in April? Or does Moshiri move on and accept he isn’t getting the return they were offering and cultivate other interest.

Were in March money and the impactful thing for the club is heading into a significant window, one way of the other, the level of uncertainty in terms of planning and finance, mean yet again we are way behind our rivals.

No wonder Thelwell wants out.

Every job at the club is impossible at the moment.

If they don’t get approved, they cannot operate as owners.
Presumably Moshiri will have to seek other buyers.
Or continue running the club himself.

Nope.

If 777 falls through, that’s the option, he likely may have to reduce his price, what’s cheaper selling Everton to next to nothing or continue to fund it.

Owners have to sign an agreement with the PL that they can and are prepared to cover their clubs losses.

Ultimately though we’re in March, so even if we found a new buyer tomorrow and the fit and proper person test sailed through in 12 weeks, he’s here up to the end of the financial year and most of the summer, which means we will be sleepwalking or rather zombie walking into another transfer window.

I don’t think it would be much different with 777 in charge with regards the transfer window.
Even if we sold players I think they would insist on spending less than we received.

I think they’d make a show of selling lids and reinvest a bit of it, but agreed not as much as we sold and we’d go on just diluting the quality in the squad.

Branthwaite and Onana are just walking digits to them mate.

Judging by the reports they are struggling to provide liquidity across their group generally .
They appear to be relying on acquiring us to provide some solution to their (apparently) growing problems.

You simply have to expect that Mr Moshiri has been in contact with other parties to try and find an alternative deal. The writing has been on the wall for many months regarding 777.

£1 billion investment (buying the club, investing in the squad) would turn us into a Europa League team minimum with one of the best stadiums in Europe ffs. There can't be that many more attractive clubs on the market.

Our wages are dropping significantly in the next two seasons and we are in a strong position to put ourselves on a more sensible financial path going forwards.

Come on Everton get it sorted.

I think that's right. They never rejected the Newcastle initial bid, they came back with issues and they walked away for example

Was only when the government asked them to relook at it they let them back in.

It was only resolved when the Saudi's made peace with Bein Sports over the piracy issue.

Bein Sports is the biggest overseas customer to the Premier League. You can check the timelines, once that was sorted a few days later the takeover happened.

The onus is on Morshiri to then to pull the plug and look for other potential owners rather than have this cloud of uncertainty hanging over us.

Thing is no one has seen or heard fro. Him in ages
