Hang on, im sorry, but you really are talking out of your arse, Howard is a good keeper, what has he done that is so bad? hes kept us in so many games for example: Chelsea away, Utd away (until the penalty), bolton away...

All our draws and victories at away matches are mostly to do with him, he hasnt let in 2 or more goals this season that where his fault.

I have already said a few times in this thread, please read before repeating the same question

Same back at you. I didnt know americans were so funny. I knew and you have comfirmed it that they know nothing about soccer though

Oh no, not again.

Please don't tell me you're gonna trot out the old stereotype again are you?

Halewood. Your posts are there for all to see. Windup merchant of the first order.

Nah just the truth. Are the others on the wind up as well tx?

I could certainly aim that accusation at some of your posts as well but it would be too easy

What you talking about you fool.

1st i said its a position that will need addressing sooner rather than later
2nd i never once called him [Poor language removed], you are the only 1 who has called him that
3rd you carry on the delusion that your fellow countryman is a good goalie

A delusion carried by most Evertonians (except you of course.)

A delusion carried by Bob Bradley, US National Team coach (I guess he doesn't know his football either then?)

A delusion carried by David Moyes (clueless in the transfer market) when he bought him.

Am I missing anyone Halewood because you apparently know better than what I listed above.

The real delusion here is your apparent belief that Paul Robinson is a better goalkeeper than one Tim Howard. If you'd look past your biases, you'd see just how laughable a statement that is. You sir are most certainly in the minority on that one.

But hey, don't let a good rant get in the way of the obvious.

Can't wait to see what's next.

No.

What's too easy is your complete lack of football knowledge. You can talk a good game though I'll give you that.

But please, continue on with the "Robinson is class, Howard is crap posts" and see how long you're continued to be taken seriously by a small minority on this forum.

Not unlike your TW days perhaps?

Most evertonians? Obviously you can back that up cant you tx? Nah i didnt think so
Wow the US manager!! Wasnt he something like 3rd choice last yr behind the mighty Kasey Keller?
Moyes cant make a wrong decision in the market can he? Faddy, BT, Kroldrup say different
Why would i have any bias tx? Please explain that weird logic to me as the player i should have a bias towards (ie the everton player) is the 1 am going against
Your posts just get funnier and funnier

Didnt get much wrong in them days neither, seem to remember you being a big BT fan, oh how you got that right!!

children children, this is meant to be a bunch of posts where we suggest our preferred strengthenings in the summer, not a civil war with handbangs.

Well since you're the ONLY one on GOT advocating that we "address the position sooner rather than later," it's a reasonable assumption that most Evertonians (unless you think GOT isn't a representation of what the supporters think) believe the position is just fine. But since I'm sure that explanation won't suffice, I'd be all for having a mod put up a poll on GOT asking if the goalkeeping position needs to be addressed.

Tim Howard has been the first choice USA keeper for the past couple of years. Sure he had to wait behind a combination of Friedel and Keller but then the USA has been known to turn out quality goalkeepers. That's not a new revelation to you either as I'm sure you're aware of that.

I don't need you to tell me that Moyes has made mistakes in the transfer market. But again, you're in the very small minority if you think that Howard is one of 'em. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that your in the minority of one on that one.

So, since I can't find any other rational or reasonable explanation for your post asking for the position to be addresssed, I can only conclude that personal biases come into play. It's really the only conclusion.

Am all for a poll, be very interesting to see as i know from speaking to many blues i am not alone on this matter.
Seem to remember Keller playing in that silly tournament you boys play in the summer or the 1 before. Concaf cup or something i think its called
Again your making assumptions that am the only 1 who thinks howard was a mistake, i have still yet to say he is a crap keeper, them are your words not mine

Here let me help.

Halewood feels Robinson is a "good" keeper when he's [Poor language removed]. Furthermore, Halewood feels that Robinson is a better keeper than Howard. So buy that extension, Howard must really be [Poor language removed] via Halewood's line of thinking.

In addition, you don't "address" a position when a player is performing up to the standards required of him. If he's playing poorly for an extended period of time, well then you do.

Fortunately Howard's has easily been playing up to Premiership standards so no worries there. I think you can be assured that if somehow Howard's standard of play dropped considerably, Moyes would in fact address it sooner rather than later as goalkeeper is a position that you just cannot have an extended period of poor play. You can cover it up to an extent in other positions but with GK, it's there for all to see.

I'm sure there are one or two Evertonians out there that want another keeper. Fine, I'm sure that just about on every part of the pitch, Evertonians want another player in that position at some point during the season. But speaking to a few other supporters who feel the same as you do on the position doesn't make it representative of the support now does it?

As I've stated before, that up until now, you are the only person on GOT who's advocating "addressing the position." I'm pretty much on here every day and read just about every post so it's doubtful (though not inconceivable) that I missed someone else posting that we need to address the position where Howard is concerned. Our backups? Now that's probably an area that needs addressing but that's a different topic for a different day.

But if the mods want to put up a generic transfer target poll, that would be fine by me as I believe that right back and central attacking/defensive midfield would be our priorities where Moyes' spending is concerned (assuming of course that Pienaar is signed to a permanent deal). If we were able to improve the GK or any other position on a free, well then I'd be all for it.

Believe me Halewood. I don't like "getting into it" with you or anyone else on here for that matter but in this instance, it's my opinion the Moyes hasn't gotten this one wrong. I'm confident that we'll agree to disagree on this on then as well.
