Booked a hotel/ ticket package, my first trip to Goodison. I daren't let myself get too excited just in case.
It should be decided very soon so not long to wait on confirmation. From experience, as soon as the TV games are confirmed the price of flights take a serious jump. It’s all very frustrating.

Is there anything in the t&c’s about the whole package “moving” if the match does ?.
I think Masters and the PL will be pleased with the result , despite how badly they’ve come out of it reputation wise. I think they’d have settled for 6 or 4 points in the beginning , suggested 10 knowing it would likely be reduced . If they’d have gone for 6 at the start it would likely have been reduced to 3or 2 . Corrupt var stewards .
Looking at that weeks fixtures, I can see the RS , Man City and Arsenal game getting moved
Hopefully you will be ok , but who knows with sky etc ,

We can either have tickets for the new date or a refund if it’s not convenient so we wouldn’t lose out financially. If it moved to midweek we wouldn’t be able to go and I’d be gutted.

So, the big decision has been made . 4 points back feels awfully like a fudge. However I have to remind myself that 2 different commissions with 2 KCs and 4 other "experts" have heard the evidence and representations ( that none of us have ) and both have found Everton guilty with precious little mitigation and that the breach was so serious that a points deduction was merited. Perhaps this wasnt just a technical breach of the rules by an ambitious club trying to build a new stadium.
So, before we start jumping up and down and claiming that Masters the puppet master was directing the commission in respect of the outcome take a deep breath and consider that it would be a conspiracy the like of which we haven't seen since the Post Office and Horizon.
Of course there is unfairness but doesn't that emanate from a failure to deal with City rather than their treatment of Everton.
Anyway , one way or another, I'm sick of finance and governance rules coming into the landscape that dictates the outcome of a footballing campaign.
The stadium cost to date is £800 million .....what!!!
No wonder we are in financial difficulties.
I'm getting sick of football.

Mrs J off to the rescue shop. So, I've got to do the outdoor animals, do mum's shopping and a bit of gardening before tonight's game of ping pong.

I think I read on here recently that Arsenal make more matchday revenue than anyone else but yet it still only amounts to about 20% of turnover.
The days of fans mattering are long over unless they are spending loads in the gift shops.

I remember a programme from the nineties, I think it was presented by Simon O’Brien, there was piece on fans being priced out of the game. The conclusion was fans didn’t matter, the television rights, sale of shirts, coporate entertainment etc were the important things and it wouldn’t matter if there were no actual team supporters at matches. All rather depressing.
The way it’s going fans will be replaced by AI avatars to ensure the chosen atmosphere of the broadcaster.

While we obviously don’t get the weather you do, I bought my wife a series of auto 4WD for safety. Then a few years back I got her a Mercedes A class which was fine until the snow fell and she skidded on one of the country roads surrounding our village and shook her up, so the A class was immediately traded in for a new 4WD. I had a similar experience years ago driving my Jag XJ, absolutely useless in even a couple of centimetres of snow, Bambi on ice, so replaced it with a RR. We only drive cars that can handle any kind of weather. It brings peace of mind….
