6 + 2 Point Deductions

Forest didn't sell a stadium so not sure how this section is relevant.
No they didn’t but if you consider a player an asset ( which for accounting purposes they are just that) then both Sheffield Wednesday and Forest delayed selling an asset to maximise value.
I am not saying that it should happen but I can see there is an debate to be had

We weren't given credit for selling Richarlison early to avoid the sale falling in a later period.

I dont all clubs kno when the books end for that year they have still taken a chance before that by going over the linit ahould be thrown out straight away for me.

Will agree the rules in future should be put in place to give selling clubs more of an advantage than clubs looking to buy like spurs did with us to get a better deal

We were but said we sold him at £20m less than if we had waited. Looks like now if we had have waited & covered the shortfall we would have halved any deduction.
Also none of his figures are anywhere near correct.
Re Forest penalty being halved:

Because the precedent was set by Sheffield Wednesday who had a significant breach but sold their ground & covered the loss shortly after the year end so their penalty was reduced from 12 to 6 points. The report specifically states at para 214 that we don’t have any such golden mitigation point.

Re figures as per para 221 losses were:

2023 £10m
2022/21 average £55m
2020 £59m

Which gives £124m v the £105m allowed.
